post 2: Huck finn response ( ch.13-ch.17)

In Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Huck, the protagonist, Huck, is greatly influenced by four people: Widow Douglas, Tom Sawyer, Pap, and Jim.

Without these key influences in his life, Huck would be a very different person.

Widow Douglas directly influences Huck because she teaches him all about religion and right from wrong. She also teaches him getting an education, and the value of life is important. She indirectly influences Huck because when she not around he still think about his actions and weather or not should he do this or that. An example of the widow directly could be found on page.1”the widow Douglas she took me for her son and allowed, she would sivilize me;. An example of indirectly affects Huck quotes “I whished the widow known about it I judge she would be proud” page 56.

Tom Sawyer directly influnces Huck because he has a negative effect on Huck he was teaching and telling him to do wrong things. He indirectly influences Huck because he has a good affect on but yet he invited him into trouble. An example of directly “ oh certainly its best some authonties think different, but mostly its considered best to kill them” would be found on page 6. An example for indirectly he hunted me up said he was going to start up a band of robbers I might join if I would go back to the widow and be respectable” found on pg.1.

Pap directly influences Huck because he has a very bad effect on him and makes him end his education. He doesn’t really effect Huck indirectly because he didn’t mean too much to him. An example can be found on page 15 when Pap says and Looky here- you drop that school, you hear?

Jim directly influences Huck because he is very helpful to him and gets him to believe in bad and good luck. An example can be found on page 14 when Jim says You want to keep way fum de water as much as you kin, en don’t run no risk, kase its down en de bills dat yous gwyne to git hung.

Without these key influences in his life, Huck would be a very different person.

Post 1: Huck Finn Response (Ch. 1- Ch.12

In Huck Finn we have read so far is that huck father came back and was expecting money from huck, but Huck had no money. when huck father took him he decide that he want to leave, when he left he went to jackson island. Thats when he found Jim the runaway slave, him and Jim was coool. They was like Lennie , George in Mice of Men sticking up for each other. huck went into time to found out what was happening, thats when he found out they think Jim killed. Its bout to go down dumdumdumdumdummmmmmmm.

What i like about this book is that their is alot of drama, their is alot of action and it get you into the book at the beining of the story. I also like the short chapters in this book. I aslo like all the good ideas it give use of whats going to happen next. what i dislike is that the use the word nigger, and they use roman numbers. But everything else i like, the book is cool but its all most better then mice of men, its just not that funny.
